Mail scam warning

The scam described below was shut down in 2005 (see http://www.hoax-slayer.com/pds-phone-scam.html). Nevertheless, it is worth bearing in mind for the approaching parcel delivery season. Avoid Premium Rate phone numbers – you don’t know what you are paying.

For information about scams in general (real and imagined) see
http://www.hoax-slayer.com
________
A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS Parcel Delivery Service suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).
DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.
If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call.
___________

As a general rule NEVER forward scam/virus warnings you receive from well-meaning friends – their email and the forwarded parts may contain a virus.
This also applies to cute animal/baby pictures, missing persons notices or any chain letter-style messages.
If you feel you must forward a particular message to all your friends, please remove all the email addresses of the previous recipients. I do not want my email address broadcast to the world and its spammers and neither, probably, do you nor the previous recipients.

On the Buses – All change

Far East Travel buses will take the place of Country Travel from 6 July 2009 and the change of route from Trimley Road to Falkenham Road and Back Road will start from Tuesday 1st September, although the Ipswich school bus at 8:01am will continue along Trimley Road as there are concerns about double-deckers getting through some of Kirton’s narrow roads and awkward corners.
