Kirton Community Shop & Café
Hi,
Having recently purchased the Old Post Office building, we are in the process of setting up a Community shop and Café.
The intention is that it is run by the community FOR the community.
We will have a stall set up at the Village Fete on the 3rd of June at the Rec so please come and have a chat with us if you have ideas, would like to get involved or just want to know more about what we are trying to do.
Hope to see you there!

Kirton and Falkenham Toddler Group Kirton and Falkenham Toddler Group Kirton and Falkenham Toddler Group

Kirton and Falkenham Toddler Group
I have been helping Emma, who is the mum who currently runs Kirton and Falkenham Toddler Group, during this last year. We finished the year by giving all the children, who attended the last session a lovely book each that had been donated by the Felixstowe Salvation Army. I have found it to be a lovely friendly group of regular parents / grandparents with babies and toddlers each week. Emma does a great job of running the group and has set up a Facebook page
www.facebook.com/pg/Kandftoddlers/about/?ref=page_internal to show what is available and keep people up to date with what is happening. In the good weather we are able to use the grass area that is fenced off by the hall and are grateful to Kirton Parish Council who gave a donation which was used to buy outside play equipment.

On the
2nd Thursday each month the health visitors attends to do baby weights and chat if you have any concerns with your toddlers/babies. During a session you will find we have a craft table, a baby play area and various other toys and activities about the hall. We give the children juice and a biscuit half way through the session when they are all encouraged to sit together and at this time there is coffee and tea available for the adults. At the end of the session it is lovely to see the children help tidy away to cries from their parents of why cant they be this enthusiastic at home. We meet every Thursday from 1pm - 3pm The session costs £2 per family (1 adult and up to 3 children) each additional child is 50p.

We are looking for New Members all the time to replace existing members as they move off to nursery and school, to ensure that this group can continue to run for the benefit of the local community. Without your support we could lose this valuable group as we need to be able to cover the running costs and have the help to run the group.
Come and join this lovely friendly local group.
